10 tips for a successful webinar

Many companies are currently organizing webinars. This is clearly noticeable at Livestream Solutions.

Webinars have been a good form of marketing for companies that offer services for some time, but now also seem to be very popular among large institutions and corporations.

Choose a good provider

Before you select a provider to organize a Webinar, think carefully about what you want to offer the viewers. You can of course choose to work with Zoom or Teams yourself. This is of course a cheap service, but if you really want a razor-sharp image with interaction that matches the professionalism of your organization, then it is better to choose a webinar provider. We at Livestream Solutions will help you broadcast the webinar on the right channel and take care of all the technical hassle. But we also go further. We take care of every step that is important for a successful Webinar.

Send enough reminders

People are very busy. That is why it is important that you send enough reminders to the participants of the Webinar. Send an email two days before the Webinar takes place with a brief overview of what people can learn in your Webcast and how you can help people achieve their goals. It is also a good idea to send an email an hour before your Webinar as a reminder. “See you later” or “See you at the Webinar!” are very nice ways to remind someone that the Webinar will take place later in the day.

Facebook ads can make a big difference

Organizing a Webinar takes a lot of effort - whether you have 2 people in your livestream or 500. That's why it's often a good idea to put at least a few tens of euros into Facebook Ads to attract new people to your Webcast and so on. generate new leads. Our strategic partner Whello, online marketing specialist, can help you with this.
Don't forget to send an email to your existing customers and leads. Who knows, you might be able to strengthen customer relationships or generate an upsell or cross-sell through the Webinar!

Have a concrete goal

When you organize a webinar, it is important that you have a concrete and measurable goal in mind. Maybe you just want to collect more email addresses? Be sure to put a number on it. "At the end of the Webcast campaign I want to have collected at least 100 new email addresses from leads." Or when you organize a Webinar to sell a product, you can work with sales or turnover goals.
A Webinar without a concrete goal is often a waste of time and effort. Even if you only want to inform customers and leads with a Webinar, you will have to use a concrete Call to Action at the end of your Webinar - download our e-book, contact us, visit our website for more information. If you do not have a goal in mind for your webinar, there is a good chance that your Call to Action will fail and that you will not achieve anything (measurable) with your Webinar.

Give people time to ask questions

Interaction is one of the big pluses of a webinar –

Because why else wouldn't one just watch a movie, right? At the end of your Webcast, it is best to set aside 5 to 10 minutes to answer questions from the audience. This way you can build a bond with the people who listen to and watch your Webinar and you can further push your Call to Action. Answering questions honestly and fully will also generate trust, especially when it is a question that may be a bit more difficult.

Also broadcast your webinar on social media

Some Webinar providers give you the option to also broadcast your Webinar on social media. This way you can reach your current fans and people who may have forgotten to register can still follow the webinar.

Send follow-up email

We have already talked about how it is very important that you remind people that your Webcast will take place (soon). But did you know that a follow-up email is just as important? In your follow-up email you can repeat the most important points of your Webinar and highlight your CTA. Such an email is also very interesting for people who have registered but were perhaps unable to attend. Perhaps you can link to an instant replay or a video from the Webcast to generate even more leads and interest.

A nice PowerPoint is very important

Many Webinars are based on PowerPoint presentations. It is important that your presentation looks beautiful and professional. Don't place too many drawings and text on your presentation and make sure everything is correct and easy to read.

Have a dress rehearsal

Having technical problems when you want to broadcast a webinar is not good advertising for your company or product! That is why we at Livestream Solutions always hold a dress rehearsal before you start the webinar. We immediately look at the way you present yourself. This way you will receive a lot of interesting and important feedback that can help you set up a very good Webcast that converts leads into customers!

The webinar host

It might all be quite exciting, a live broadcast where you can't do anything and everything has to run smoothly. A good host or moderator will help you with this and maneuver you through the broadcast. It is important to select someone who has experience in this. He or she must keep the conversation going, ask specific questions and ensure that the webinar stays within time. Think of Eva Jinik, Jeroen Pauw or Beau van Erven Dorens. These are all discussion leaders who direct the broadcast. Naturally, these are experienced presenters with a hefty price tag. Fortunately, we have a database of various (affordable) webinar hosts with experience in different fields. And don't forget, have fun!
